How To Win Any Fight! Part 1 Winning a fight can be very easy if you know what you are doing. With a little proper Martial Arts Training anyone can learn to defend themselves. One of the keys to being able to defend yourself is in being able to apply the proper techniques at the proper time.
Unfortunately, all too many Martial Arts Schools and Masters train dead. Now I do not mean that there is some remake of the old thriller video going on in Dojo’s across the Nation. No hardly, what I am referring to is the way that they train their students. You see the Martial Arts instructors certainly mean the best in all that they do, they just fear training in a way that is alive and functional.
In many ways they learn either from their instructors, or on their own that training safely should take precedence over training at high intensity. They focus on simple instruction with very low to know impact. This can get you fit and help you in many ways, but when it comes to always focusing on a dead training method is just plain dumb. Now do not go thinking that I believe all training should be with pads on at supper high intensity, and with the trainees noses bloodied. No, great training should involve both intense moments and calmer more centered moments.
You have to train with a blended style of applications. I firmly believe in the traditional study of Martial Arts, and have found that it benefits all who practice it. However; I can tell you that if you want to be effective at defending yourself you also have to train at much faster paces and at greater more real life intensity. So I always recommend a blended training method.

need to have an instructor who fully understands all the methods used in Martial Arts training. Someone who can train in every mode necessary for your success in self defense. In my life I have been fortunate to train with some of the greatest names in Martial Arts. I trained for many years in Aikido, and then in Okinawan Shorin-ryu, later moving on into a full blended style of Ju-Jitsu and Aikido called Aiki-Ju-Jitsu. In all my years of training I have been fortunate to have many great trainers, and master instructors.
Lately I began training full time in the Martial Arts again, and I have done so because the opportunity became available to train with one of the legends of Martial Arts. I have been training with Grandmaster Ted Gambordella. Dr. Gambordella as published over 42 books 20 videos, on the Martial Arts. He has been instructing in the Martial Arts for nearly 40 years. So when I found the opportunity to learn from this legend of the Martial Arts I jumped at it.
I can now tell you without a doubt that I have learned more about Martial Arts in the past few months than in many years of my prior training. I have had the opportunity to see applied techniques in a whole new light. Another great thing is that I have multiple references to refer to when I practice with myself or one of my students. That means that I can learn to apply these methods faster and more effectively than just attending a local training class.
Now this is just the first in a four part article series that I am writing to help people learn to defend themselves effectively in this uncertain World. So come back to this website or even search now for additional articles in this series.
